Megan Anna Rapinoe grew up in Redding, California. Her birthplace was on July 5, 1985. She started playing soccer when she was an infant, and her abilities increased in her teenage years. The contributions of Rapinoe helped to help the U.S. Women's World Cup to claim two consecutive championships in 2019 and 2015. In 2018, she was named cocaptain for the U.S. national team. Rapinoe scored two goals in the United States beat Australia 4-3 in the bronze-medal game at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Japan had been delayed from the Olympics until 2021 due to COVID-19, a pandemic.
